Slipbird

Turns paper receipts and e-invoices into a clean record of your spending: scan, check, done.

Point the camera at a receipt and Slipbird fills in the merchant, date, total, VAT and items. Receipt photos never leave the phone; only the recognised text is sent to be read, and it is not stored.

What it does

  • Scan anything

    Edge detection, crop and perspective fix, with up to three pages for long receipts. Photos can be imported too.

  • Verified e-invoices

    The QR code on Turkish e-Arşiv and e-Fatura invoices gives verified totals, VAT and invoice numbers.

  • Only check what’s unsure

    Low-confidence fields are flagged, duplicates are caught before saving, and each merchant’s category is remembered.

  • See where it goes

    This month against the same day last month, spending by category, the last six months and top merchants.

  • Budgets

    Monthly limits per category, with a notification at 80% and at 100%.

  • Yours to keep

    Export receipts as CSV or a monthly PDF report. Works in English and Turkish.

    Text recognition runs on the device with ML Kit. Rows are rebuilt from the line geometry so each item stays next to its price, and very long receipts are read in overlapping tiles.

    A Supabase Edge Function turns the text into a strict JSON schema with an LLM. Providers form a fallback chain (Groq, then Gemini): when one is busy, the next takes over in the same request.

  3. 03

    Amounts come back exactly as printed and are parsed on the device, handling both 1.234,56 and 1,234.56. Totals that don’t add up are flagged for a check.

  4. 04

    Scans wait in a persisted queue when offline or rate-limited and retry with backoff, honouring the provider’s Retry-After.
